  • To prepare the dough :
    Flour : 2 cups
    Sugar : three quarters of a glass
    Eggs : 2 tablets
    Baking powder : a teaspoon
    Vinegar : 2 pieces (to remove the smell of eggs)
    Salt : a pinch
    Cinnamon : a teaspoon (ground)
    Lemon rind: half a teaspoon (sour / grated)
    Butter: 100 grams (equivalent to half a cup)
  • To prepare the filling :
    Apples : 3 kernels (large size, cut into small cubes)
    Butter: 25 grams
    Corn starch : a teaspoon (dissolved in two tablespoons of water)
    Sugar : a third of a glass
    Walnuts: half a cup (crushed)

Method of preparation

To prepare the dough: mix the butter and sugar in the electric kneader.
Put the eggs in and beat well.
Add baking powder, vinegar, salt, cinnamon, grated lemon zest and flour.
Knead the ingredients well to get a cohesive dough.
Set aside less than a quarter of the dough.
Roll out the dough into a tart tray and then put it in the refrigerator for a quarter of an hour.
To prepare the filling: put the sliced apples with butter in a saucepan on the fire.
Add the dissolved corn starch, cinnamon and sugar.
Mix the ingredients thoroughly on the fire until the apples are slightly cooked.
Add walnuts and stir for two minutes.
Spread the filling evenly over the dough.
Take the amount of dough set aside and roll it out on a hard, floured surface.
Cut the dough into medium-sized strips.
Drain the dough strips over the apple filling.
Bake the pie in an oven preheated from below at 180 degrees Celsius until cooked.
Brown the face of the pie and then serve hot
